We have been doing induction/ttransition and we are doing brochure on the computer of what we want it to be like on the first day of school 2011 and we are doing a whole fun day worth of games and tours around the school.

Equipment:

Rules:

1. The winner can choose who serves, sides etc
2. The ball must bounce on the table once before being hit/returned.
3. The table is divided into 2 parts - the ball must bounce on the opposite side.
4. Can be singles or doubles.
5. Each player serves 2 points in a row and then switch server.
6. You need to score 11 points to win the match. If both players/team have 10 you must play on until either player/team has a 2point lead.
7. You must not have a 'double bounce'.

Techniques:

1. The Drive - is a light top spin strike that produces a low ball.
2. The Push - a basic back spin stroke

Year 9/10 Racquet Day

Term 4

This term in PE, we will be learning about Racquet sports in preparation for the year 9/10 Racquet day that is held against Cambridge and Berkley Middle Schools.

The Raquet sports we will be competing in include:

Table Tennis

T-ball

Padder tennis

and Tennis

20/10/10

On Monday i learnt maths and speeches its not all that great speaking in front of a big audience its just the same if they are just all stering at you its harder to consentrate so this term i am not looking foward to doing speeches.

Thinqz i Need To work On

1.Collect and display numeric data in various graphs.
2.Use data displays/measures to compare data associated with different
categories.
3.Find/validate data measures (e.g., mean/median/range etc) from

appropriate displays.
